Holding in the Light

If,
as we believe,
prayer is an opening of the whole of our life to the spirit of God,
it is natural that we should bring before Him our needs,
that before Him we should hold our friends in mind,
 and that at the end,
 we should say,
      Holy, Holy, Holy.
 (R. Duncan Fairn)

We hold in the light of Christ's love:

the sensitive and unexpressed needs among our Worshipping Family and for:

Sherra, Damien and the girls as girls.

Jim and Kathy as they begin their preparations to return to California.

Lorraine recuperating following a stroke.

Mark and Chris Hurd - personal health and concerns for extended family.

Samuel, Durdanna and family

Fran Well's family in the lose of a son in Iraq.

Interfaith Hospitality in its decision to move to another facility and seek financial sustainability.

We pray for the safety of Josh, Joel, Robin and Rich, and  Eddy, friends and loved ones of families in the Meeting, as they are deployed in military service to Iraq or Afghanistan.

We pray that the leaders of countries at war, including our own, will seek just and non-violent ways to resolve conflict, and peace for the people in war torn countries  and all who either personally or corporately  endure war's consequences.

For our nation, our leaders and Members of Congress as they contemplate ways to conclude this war.

For families in our worshipping community wrestling with the practical concerns  of health, education, employment and residence.
